Welcome to Hydrove! These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Hydrove mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using Hydrove, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Overview

Hydrove helps water sports enthusiasts plan, track, and share activities such as paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing, surfing, and other flatwater or coastal adventures. Core features include GPS route tracking, live weather, tide, and wind conditions, safety zones and alerts, activity history, and a community for discovering and sharing routes and events. Some features, such as offline maps, unlimited routes, and advanced stats, are only available with a paid subscription.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Hydrove. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password.
You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account and to keep it up to date.
Hydrove reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Hydrove responsibly and in accordance with all local laws and regulations. You must not:

Post or share content that is unlawful, harmful, or misleading
Use Hydrove for any commercial or promotional purpose without permission
Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks
Collect or store personal information about other users without consent

5. Location & Tracking Data

Hydrove uses your device's GPS and location data to provide route tracking, live conditions, and nearby points of interest. You can enable or disable location permissions at any time in your device settings, but some features may not function properly without location access.

6. Community & Shared Content

Hydrove allows you to share routes, photos, and event or activity details with the community. You retain ownership of your content, but by uploading or sharing it, you grant Hydrove a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and share it within the Service and related promotional materials. You are responsible for ensuring any content you share complies with these Terms and does not infringe the rights of others.

7. Safety Disclaimer

Hydrove is designed to assist with route planning, navigation, and tracking, but is not a replacement for proper safety practices, training, or local guidance. Always check weather and tide conditions, wear appropriate safety gear, and exercise your own judgment before heading out on the water. Hydrove is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or damages resulting from your use of the Service.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and design elements within Hydrove — other than content you share — are owned by Hydrove Ltd or its licensors. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without prior written consent.

9. Subscription & Payments

Hydrove offers an optional annual subscription plan that unlocks premium features such as offline maps, unlimited saved routes and spots, and advanced stats. Subscriptions are billed yearly through your Apple App Store or Google Play account and automatically renew at the end of each term unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your app store account settings. Current prices are always displayed before purchase.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app or by contacting support. Hydrove reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service.

11. Limitation of Liability

Hydrove is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hydrove and its team are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Service.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our features or policies. Any changes will be posted within the app, and continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes will be handled exclusively by the courts of England and Wales.
